We know that choosing a wellness provider is personal. This FAQ page is designed to
answer common questions about care at Bellona Wellness for Women and to help you
feel prepared, informed, and confident before your visit.
Do you accept insurance?
At Bellona Wellness for Women, we do not contract with any insurance carriers for clinical services. Most of the conditions that we specialize in are not well covered by insurance. By eliminating the complex insurance billing process and the time constraints imposed by big hospital systems, we can guarantee more one-on-one time with the physician each visit and personalize your care and treatment plan to your unique needs.
If your insurance allows, we can bill insurance for lab work, Pap smears, and pathology. We also offer discounted cash-pay pricing for lab work, Pap smears, and pathology.
What payment options are available?
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by contacting Bellona Wellness for Women by phone
or book an appointment directly through the website patient portal Book Now – Bellona
Wellness for Women. If you are unsure which appointment type to choose, the team can
help guide you. An initial booking fee of $50 is charged at the time of booking for non-
membership appointments which is then applied to the cost of your visit on the day of
your appointment. A one-time registration fee of $150 is assessed for all initial
membership packages.
How do I prepare for my first visit?
Please submit the Bellona Wellness for Women New Patient Health History Survey online prior to your appointment. This survey will be emailed to you when you schedule your first visit and includes questions regarding your overall health and wellness, your goals for the appointment, relevant medical history, other healthcare professionals that are involved in your care, medical insurance (if applicable), and a list of current medications and supplements.
What is your cancellation policy?
At Bellona, we believe it is important to be respectful of time. If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, kindly call to cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 cancellation fee.
What types of wellness concerns do you support?
Bellona Wellness for Women supports women through a range of health and wellness needs, which may include preventive care, hormone-related concerns, reproductive wellness, lifestyle support, and whole-person wellness planning.
Do you offer personalized care plans?
Yes. Care recommendations are tailored to each patient’s goals, health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and provider assessment. Your plan may include education, follow- up visits, lab review, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals when appropriate. You are unique, and your women’s healthcare experience should be too!
Will I need lab work?
Dr. Rooney may recommend lab work based on your symptoms, health history, and wellness goals. If labs are needed, blood can be drawn at Bellona Wellness for Women for your convenience. Alternatively, a lab order can be provided for you to have blood draw at your laboratory of choice.
